Parklane Gallery’s March-April Guest Artists
Parklane has a talented group of guest artists showing their work both in the gallery and in the online store through May 2. Visit the gallery Thursday-Sunday to see their artwork in-person or view their work online 24/7 at parklanegallery.org/store.
Karen Bakke is an oil painter living in Sedro Woolley. She is a former president of Plein Air Wasington Artists and is represented by the Scott Milo Gallery and the LaConner Arts Foundation.
Ben Groff is an oil painter predominately of landscapes. He is nurse at Virginia Mason Hospital who lives in Lynnwood and is a published fiction writer. Ben is represented by Gallery North in Edmonds.
Steve Jensen has been a working artist for over 40 years and comes from a long tradition of Scandinavian fisherman and boat builders. From 2015 and 2020 Steve has solo exhibited at “SAM” Gallery, Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Foss Seaport Museum, MoNA, Vashon Center for the Arts, Northwind Arts Center and Schack Art Center.
Hilma Josal is an oil painter and lives in Monroe. She recently illustrated “Hjilmer and the Fire Witch” and her paintings currently in Parklane are some of the originals used in the book. Hilma is represented by the Arts of Snohomish gallery
Maëry Lanahan lives in Shoreline and exhibits her colorful abstract paintings in exhibits around Washington state including the Edmonds Art Studio Tour. She glazes thin layers of oil paint to create rich an luminescent shapes that interrelate based on the consept she has in mind for each piece.
Corina Linden is an oil painter and has consistently participated in Parklane’s juried shows for years. The pieces that she is showing at Parklane are from her summer pilgrimage to southern France. The series is titled, “Summer with Van Gogh Collection.”
Tom Saknit unlike most photographers who want more (color, dynamic range, detail…), Tom Saknit created Redacted Photography™ to explore minimalism. Tom’s Redacted Photography™ uniquely bridges the organic world of painting with the mechanical world of photography. Tom Saknit is represented by ANT Gallery, Seattle and Port Townsend Gallery, Port Townsend.
Ed Thayer earned a PhD in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts and incorporates principles of mathematics into many of his bronze and stone sculptures with abstract, beautiful, curves and bends in the rigid mediums of bronze and stone born from the tick-tock of our physical world
Leah Welch is a contemporary impressionist painter. Leah grew up in Ballard but currently lives in Bellevue. She is represented by Gallery North in Edmonds
