Parklane Gallery will once again host the 31st Annual International Miniature Show in July, 2023. July is an optimal month for an exhibition in the town of Kirkland, WA as there is a significant increase in foot traffic from art loving locals and tourists as they visit the great shops and restaurants in the heart of this vibrant, art community.

Beverly Fotheringham is a prolific artist in all forms of water media, watercolor, acrylic, mixed water media, and miniatures. Beverly earned her initial reputation in the Pacific Northwest, where she became widely recognized for her unique style of watercolor and mixed water media painting. Beverly has evolved a highly personal style that reflects her deep interest and understanding in the techniques and formal structure of classical painting. The discipline of golden section geometry and her years of formal artistic training show through her work as a confident competency that is often startling to those who encounter her work for the first time. Beverly is a member of the National Watercolor Society, The Northwest Watercolor Society
and The Miniature Artists of America.

RULES OF ENTRY
- All physical art mediums are acceptable, and entries must be original work by the entrant. Artists must ensure that the work does not infringe upon any copyrighted material or work by another artist.
- Photography, digital art, prints or giclees are NOT accepted into this show.
- No wet work will be accepted.
- MINIATURE ART REQUIREMENTS
Entries must meet the international definition of Miniature Art. Miniature Art is fine art on a small scale with minute attention to detail which can be enlarged or withstand close inspection without revealing any faults. Non-representational work such as abstracts may meet the spirit of a miniature if all other factors in the definition of a miniature are met. - SIZE REQUIREMENTS
Image area must not exceed 25 square inches. The outside measurements of the frame shall not exceed 6 x 8 inches in perimeter, or 48 sq inches, or a total linear measurement of 28 inches around the outside of the frame. - FRAMING REQUIREMENTS
a. All 2D entries must be framed and wired properly with D rings. On very small work a single D ring or sawtooth hanger is acceptable.
b. the back of the frame should be covered neatly with paper.
c. No sectional frames, metal frames, glass clips or unframed work will be accepted.PLEASE NOTE size requirements and framing requirements. Parklane Gallery reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet these requirements.
- LABELS
All accepted work must have a label with the following information SECURELY attached to the back:
a. Artist Name
b. Title of Art
c. Medium
d. Price - ENTRY FEES
$25 for the first piece, $5 per each additional piece. Limit 7 pieces per artist. All entry fees are non-refundable.
ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS
1. All registration and entry for this show is done online. Please review the prospectus instructions and enter online through EntryThingy.
Entry fees are assessed and paid for as a part of the registration process.
2. All work must be photographed with the frame. Entries will be juried based on the image submitted with online registration.
PLEASE NOTE that images submitted must have a minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side. Artists should ensure that images of artwork are of good quality and are representative of the original. When photographing your own work avoid background clutter, glare or reflection. Do not skew the proportions of the artwork. Ensure the photo is in focus and properly lit. Images may be used by Parklane Gallery to promote the show via publications and online.
3. Important entry form instructions:
a. In the DIMENSIONS space indicate the size of the ARTWORK (H x W)
b. In the DESCRIPTION SPACE include the size of the FRAME from edge to edge (H x W)
c. If accepted, the description of the artwork will be used to describe the work in the online store. Include all relevant details, including medium, image and frame size.
4. All work must be for sale. Suggested minimum price is $150. There will be a 35% commission on all sold work.
Upon acceptance, packaged and shipped art should be carefully labeled and packed to avoid damage. Parklane Gallery reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet entry specifications.
