32nd Annual International Miniature Show

Parklane Gallery will host the 32nd Annual International Miniature Show in the month of July 2024.  Parklane Gallery has been at the heart of the Kirkland area fine art community since 1991. The gallery is located across Lake Washington from Seattle, in beautiful downtown Kirkland, Washington. July is an optimal month for an exhibition in Kirkland as tourists and locals visiting shops and restaurants bring foot traffic and art lovers to the gallery.

Entry instructions and requirements


Miniature art is fine art on a small scale with minute attention to detail which can be enlarged or withstand close inspection without revealing faults. Non-representational work such as abstracts must meet the spirit of a miniature if all other factors in the definition of a miniature are met. 3D art is welcome.

  • For 2D artwork which hangs on the wall, the image area must not exceed 25 square inches and the outside measurements including the frame shall not exceed 48 sq inches, or a total linear measurement of 28 inches around the outside of the frame.
  • For 3D (sculptural) artwork, all dimensions must be 6 inches or less, including the base.


  1. All entries must be ready to hang and wired properly with D rings. On very small works a single D ring or sawtooth hanger is acceptable
  2. Unframed gallery-wrapped canvas, glass clips (glass without a frame covering the edges) will NOT be accepted.
  3. The back of traditionally framed work should be covered neatly with paper.
  4. All entries must have labels SECURELY attached to the back or bottom (no sticky notes), including the following information:
    • Artist Name
    • Title of Art
    • Medium
    • Price


The entry fee is $25 for the first piece and $5 for each additional piece up to seven pieces per artist.  Entry fees are part of the online registration process and paid through Entry fees are non-refundable. There will be a 35% commission on sold work.

  2. Originality – The concept, design and execution of the artwork will be solely that of the artist. Unauthorized use of any copyrighted images (including published photographs) or work by another artist will not be accepted. Alterations or production prints will not be accepted.
  3. Digital Specifications – All entries will be juried based on the image as submitted during online registration and must meet the following requirements:
  • If framed, photograph must include the frame.
  • minimum of 1920 pixels on the longest side.
  • images of artwork are in focus.
  • photograph is taken straight-on, not at an angle, and without glare or reflection.
  • images are cropped so that only the artwork is visible.
  1. Availability – All work must be for sale. The suggested minimum price is $100. Once a piece is accepted to the show, no substitutions are allowed.
  2. Promotion – By submitting your artwork you are giving Parklane Gallery permission to use your images for promotional purposes including but not limited to press releases, printed promotional items, the gallery website, online show announcements, social media, etc. All work will be credited where applicable
  3. Entry Specifications – Parklane Gallery reserves the right to refuse work that does not meet entry specifications.
  4. Entry Form instructions – When filling out the entry form on, in the Dimensions space include the size of the artwork (height x width) and in the Description space all relevant details including medium, image and frame size.
  5. Delivery – Instructions for hand-delivery and shipping of pieces accepted to the show will be provided in an acceptance email.
