Acrobat Basket – Sally Prangley

Despite being a klutz when it comes to gymnastics, I am very inspired and uplifted by daring trapeze and high wire artists. The Acrobat Basket is my version of being an aerialist! Colorful, light and airy, this basket playfully visualizes a delicate balance between its many shapes and colors. Made with annealed steel wire, the colorful squares, rectangles and triangles are created from a variety of papers, with colored pencils adding subtle patterns to each colorful paper tile. The Acrobat Basket - like an aerialist - is strong and able to hold objects if wished, or nothing at all. Finished with a clear sealant for use.
