Summer Leaf Basket – Sally Prangley

After a long and dark winter in Seattle, springtime and summer bring a very welcome emergence of color. The Summer Leaf Basket captures some of the joy in seeing the return of colorful buds and blossoms. The leaves are made from a variety of papers, with contrasting papers cut, torn, sliced and added to create their details. Vintage buttons in the center of the woven wire base complete the basket. Finished with a clear sealant for use. Because of the handmade nature of my work, no two baskets are ever quite alike.
