Forrest Goldade

I have painted and written about the Great Pacific Northwest for many years, painting in plein air or in my studio. I paint mostly with water color mediums. I enjoy the poetic effect of water on paper. My paintings are influenced by the misty Japanese inspired paintings of Morris Graves and the ethic of summi. I find inspiration in nature, the ocean and the mountains. I consider myself an impressionist realist. Painting is a contempletive process lke poetry. The painting represents only what the viewer brings to the experience.
