I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to the Northwest for college and never left. I am a family physician who has dabbled in many mediums throughout my life until committing to pastels in retirement. I enjoy the instant and vibrant color of pastel pigments. I want to encourage the appreciation of pastel painting by showing my work at Parklane Gallery.
Having spent my adult years living in the beauty of the PNW, my paintings reflect my deep connection to creation and how it speaks to one’s heart and soul. My work is inspired by many of my own photos that I have collected over the years of traveling throughout the area and beyond. The movement of water captures a special interest in its ever changing and yet, mirror like quality to its environment. My art reflects that desire for peace and hope that is so needed today.
I have juried work in shows at Parklane Gallery, Kirkland, WA and Gallery North, Edmonds WA.
