Photography first taught me to see—to hold a moment in stillness and listen to the quiet language of light and shadow. Yet over time, my hands began to long for more, reaching for what the eye alone could not hold.

With encaustic—the ancient art of working with wax, pigment, and heat—I discovered a process of transformation. Through layering, fusing, scraping, and embedding, something quiet and essential begins to emerge, and I uncover what lingers, shifts, softens, and endures.

Immersed in this practice, I find myself living, as Mary Oliver so beautifully wrote, “in joy and acclamation.”

I hope my work might offer you a moment of stillness, ease, and quiet beauty.
