Omar Torres Rivera

With a Caribbean flavor, the boy comes to the PNW to incorporate new territories in his career. A construction background on concrete buildings gets updated with wood framing buildings and pursuing a major exploration on buildings that promotes people development as individuals on a collective mixture of cultures.

Omar graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 2000 with a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree and a Master of Architecture in 2003 from Illinois Institute of Technology.

In addition to Architecture his exploration for other mediums of Art has been developed through his career separating himself from a technical aspect and giving room to a freedom of form and thoughts. His artwork it’s an exploration of textures and forms that continuously breaks the rigidity of the grid in the constant search of freedom.
