Rohini Mathur

A native of New Delhi, India, Rohini Mathur is a self-taught floral and botanical painter who now lives in Bothell, Washington. She is an award-winning artist who creates vibrant floral, botanical and garden paintings that pay homage to the immense wonders of Mother Nature.

Rohini’s artworks have won several accolades and awards and have been juried into several exhibitions. She is a Public Artist with art installations at City of Bellevue, Issaquah, SeaTac, Redmond, Mount Vernon and paintings that are part of City of Kent Public Art collection.

Inspired by the desire to express and capture the incredible beauty of the natural world, Rohini brings life to her paintings using her own distinctive style. She enjoys painting with both acrylics and oils and continually explores creative ways to intermix art mediums. Bold and bright colors are her go-to palette and she paints from carefree abstraction to subtle realism.

Through her paintings, she seeks to convey her profound appreciation and awe of the natural world, inviting us to take a break from our busy lives and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us every moment. By blending detailed designs, whimsical patterns, and doodles inspired by Zentangle and other doodling art forms into some of her floral paintings, Rohini aims to immerse viewers in the texture and movement of her artworks.

Rohini is passionate about sharing her love for creative arts and enjoys teaching several classes and workshops with Kirkland Arts Center, Bellevue Botanical Garden, UW Botanic Gardens and through her own Rohini ArtWorld studio.
