Rohini Mathur

A native of New Delhi, India, Rohini Mathur is a floral painter who now lives and works in Bothell, Washington. She creates vibrant paintings of colorful florals, botanicals and gardens that pay homage to the immense wonders of Mother Nature. 

Inspired by this desire to express the beauty of the natural world, Rohini brings life to her paintings using her own distinctive, impressionistic style and using bold and bright colors. She enjoys painting with oils, acrylics and other water-based mediums while also exploring creative ways to intermix these together.

Rohini is an award-winning artist whose art has won several accolades and awards and have been juried into several exhibitions and shows. She is also an acclaimed Public Artist with art installations at City of Bellevue and paintings that are part of City of Kent Public Art collection. Rohini is a juried artist member of the Woodinville Arts Alliance and is also a juried teaching artist with ShoreLake Arts, City of Shoreline.

In 2022, Rohini was selected for City of Bellevue Utility Box wrap Public art program and the installations are now part of downtown Bellevue Public Art projects. Rohini’s paintings were honored with 2022 City of Kent Purchase Awards and are now included in City of Kent Public Art collection. Her artworks were selected for the 2022 City of Mount Vernon- Skagit Impressions Banner contest and were displayed at streetlight poles in downtown Mount Vernon.

Rohini enjoys teaching and is an Art Instructor and Educator with City of Bellevue. She also teaches several workshops with Bellevue Botanical Garden, UW Botanic Gardens and ShoreLake Arts as well as through her own Rohini ArtWorld studio.
